A dynamic Logistics Company is recruiting for two key roles at a major Distribution Centre in St. Catherine.
SAFETY & COMPLIANCE OFFICER
• Implement and monitor health, safety, environmental, and compliance programs.
• Conduct inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency drills.
• Manage PPE, first aid supplies, and workplace safety resources.
• Maintain SQF (Safe Quality Food) Food Safety Management System, GMP programs, sanitation, pest control, and product traceability requirements.
• Coordinate internal, customer, and certification audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Develop and maintain policies, SOPs, compliance records, and management reports.
• Deliver employee safety training, inductions, toolbox talks, and compliance awareness programs.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in safety, compliance, quality assurance, or food safety management.
• Knowledge of Jamaican occupational health and safety regulations.
• SQF Certification and experience
• Experience GMP, HACCP, ISO, or related compliance standards is an asset.
• Strong auditing, reporting, training, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
PROCUREMENT & COMPLIANCE OFFICER
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, quotation analysis, purchase order administration, and supplier management.
• Negotiate with suppliers and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• Monitor supplier performance, contracts, service agreements, and renewal schedules.
• Develop, document, and maintain company policies, procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments to ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls.
• Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions to strengthen governance and operational effectiveness.
• Prepare procurement and compliance reports, dashboards, and performance analyses for management review.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of accountability and process excellence.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Compliance, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in procurement, purchasing, compliance, auditing, quality management, or a related discipline.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, documentation, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
• Professional certification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Compliance, or Quality Management would be an asset.
