LABORATORY ASSISTANT

LABORATORY ASSISTANT Humanima One Health Laboratory is seeking a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laboratory Assistant. The successful applicant will provide day-to-day support to our laboratory analysts and assist with the smooth operation of the laboratory. Duties will include: • Washing, cleaning and preparation of laboratory glassware and equipment • Cleaning and maintaining laboratory work areas • Assisting with the preparation of culture media and other laboratory materials • Preparation and handling of samples for testing • Receiving, identifying and appropriately routing samples submitted to the laboratory • Assisting analysts with routine laboratory support activities • Maintaining an orderly, clean and safe laboratory environment • Other laboratory-related duties as required Qualifications: Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not essential. Recent high school graduates with a good science background, particularly in Biology and/or Chemistry, are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided to a suitable candidate. Applicants should be dependable, able to follow written and verbal instructions carefully, have good attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a laboratory environment.
